Washing, washing & more washing!!!.....

Hi all, I hope you are happy & well?!
Back from Tenerife where the weather has been hot, sunny & fab, to.........rain & cold!!! Well can't say I expected anything less lol. I remember saying I had a mountain of ironing before I went away, but you should see it now. I'm sure I didn't pack as much as I came back with!

Anyway, I haven't touched a computer for the last two weeks so I think I might have a bit to catch up with, hopefully I can get round to visiting everyone over the weekend & see what fab things you've been doing. In the meantime I can show you a few cards I made a while back.

I was contacted by docrafts & asked, if I was sent some goodies, could I make a few cards up so as they could be put into the next Creativity magazine, under the 'online talent spot' section. They sent the goodies, I made the cards, hey presto!

The original card which Clare 'spotted' was made for my Mom & Dad. I took a copy of the mag & gave it to my Mom today, of which she thought it was fab that I was in the mag, but really excited that it was her card in there...lol
Here are each of the cards I made,

All made with Anita's Classic Black Christmas papers.
Very yummy!!!

I also had a surprise whilst doing a bit of shopping in Asda yesterday when I got back. I tend not to look down the magazine aisle, as the craft mags have a strange habit of jumping into my trolley.....strange but true!!!.......hehe. Anyway, thought I'd have a peek, picked up the latest issue (October) of Cardmaking & Papercraft & spotted two cards on the front made by the very lovely & talented Alex, with the Kerry jo images. My response a verbal "oooooh", which was probably a lil louder than should have been judging by the look on the man walking past at the time.......lol (obviously not a crafter...) So of course the mag flew into my trolley!

Alex has made five beautiful cards, here they are,
Now all I need to do is get back into my crafting & blogging, that is after the ironing has been done....lol
See you soon,

Two today.....

Hello all, thought I'd have a break from the dreaded ironing.......oops sorry to mention something so horrible lol. I have clothes everywhere at the minute & it all needs to be sorted, but oh well.......

Here is a card I've made for my friends lil girl who will be two tomorrow. Lil confession here, I've already given her a shop bought card! I didn't know if I would have time to make one & saw them a couple of days ago, so rather than not give a card at all.........
My friend will probably think I've gone mad, but I'll pop this one round to her too......it does have 'two' on it so I can't keep it for next year!
Papers & letters are all from a digital kit 'Flea Market Chic' which can be found at Shabby Princess.
As with my last card I've printed the letters onto card, double layered onto card again & then cut them out with my craft knife, giving them a chunky feel. Ribbon from stash & brad & flowers were from the very lovely Vicki. Thank you Vicki.

Better get back to it........ironing that is, but later tonight I'm going to sit down with my feet up & have a good old blog hop!

See you in a couple of weeks,
Kerry xxx

Fancy a footballer?............

.........freebie!!!
A very happy Saturday to all, from a happy & grateful me!
It's been a while since my last freebie image & I thought now would be a good time, so as to celebrate the fact that I've had an amazing 20,000 hits on my blog!!!!.........yay!!!!!
Thank you so much to everyone who visits my lil blog & for all of the very kind comments which I am given, I can't say how much I appreciate each & every one.
My intention was to put blog candy up, however I'm off on my hols in a couple of days (woooo....hoooooo,...I'm a bit excited lol) so won't have time to sort anything....at the moment.

So, if you do fancy a footballer, feel free to share with us who it is.....lol, but otherwise you could save this lil fellow & use him to suit. It's the image I used on my last card, as a footballer.
However, I've left his ball clear so as it can be adapted to suit which ever 'ball sport', ie..football, basketball, rugby, american football. (with a lil tweak for the last two)

All I ask is that you respect my copyright!

Many thanks & I hope you enjoy,
Kerry xxx

Lil footballer......

Here we are again......Friday! These weeks are getting quicker & quicker, we're already half way through the hols!!!

My boys are off to their friends birthday party in a while & here is the card I've made for them to give.
The pp's & letters are all Shabby Princess download kit Painted Summer. I've used these on a previous card & find them great for boys. (although nothing stopping them being used for girls!...) The letters I have printed out onto thick card & then double layered them so as they are like chipboard letters.
The image was drawn a while back, at the same time as 'Cool dude', but this is the first time I've got round to using him.

I hope you all have a great weekend whatever you do!!!

A few more....

Here are the next few Harry & Martha images which have just been released on the Spiral Whisper site for pre-order.

As you may have gathered from my last few posts I've been a lil bit busy of late, hence the lack of actual cards I've uploaded....lol. Hopefully I can try & get a few made until my next break in a couple of weeks, when we go off on our hols........can't wait!!!!!!!!

On another note, yesterday was terrible, we had no internet access at all (problem with our server...) it was only one day but OMG how did we live before it?!..............I couldn't look at anything, the boys couldn't go on their fav sites. By the time hubby got home from work we had given up trying! But today......yay!!!!!!!.......

Anyway I hope all is well with everyone else & dare I say it?!...........but the sun seems to be out! woo hoo, please let it last lol.

Welcome to blogland........

Hello all, I hope you are well?!........

Nothing creative to share with you today......of my own that is. I just wanted to let you all know of a new blog Little Princess Cards. For anyone who frequents docrafts you're probably already aware of Sarita's fabulous cards, but for anyone who hasn't come across them then a visit to see her creations is well worth while. They are soooooo gorgeous!!!

Plain & Simple........

Happy & relaxing Sunday.......that's what I'm having! Hope your's is going good too?!.......

Having put a couple of the Xmas Kerry jo images on the other day I thought I'd make them up into cards. For some reason I wanted to make them as simple as possible.
Now, for anyone who knows me, this I don't normally do. I love seeing other peoples creations, when less is definitely more, but find trying to do this myself quite a task.
Anyway I've had a go & I'm quite pleased with how they've turned out. I think I'll be able to do more this way, which can only be a good thing with all the xmas cards I'll need to make!

The first two are the previously shown images from the other day. For the sentiments on each card I've just wrote whatever I felt, however I'm not sure if I'm keen on my writing or if I'd have preferred printed sentiments, I could always do it differently next time.

Here, we have another two ........

I thought I'd show you all a couple more as two was a bit mean...........sorry!!!.......lol.

Bye for now, Kerry xxx

Woo hoo....I'm on Inspirational!

Hello to all from a happy lil bunny me!!!

I had a very lovely email yesterday from Martine over at the Inspirational blog, asking if I would mind if they featured my blog & some of my cards?!............
Now, how long did I need to answer this......in my head a second, otherwise as long as it took me to reply!....lol
Of course my answer was...................YES!!!

On another note, thank you for all of your fab suggestions with regards to 'boy/male' themes, they are all most helpful & I have taken note. Thank you!!

I hope you are all having a great weekend whatever you have been & still have left to do.

Harry & Martha.........

For anyone who pops by my blog from time to time, these lil characters you will have already seen........ 'Harry & Martha'.
I had the pleasure of receiving them a few days ago & it really is lovely to see them as stamps. I originally drew them one day whilst I was a little bored & never intended much for them, until the very lovely Kitty at Spiral Whisper said she would be interested in making them up into stamps. For this I'm most grateful, thank you Kitty!

I'd also like to say a huge thank you for all the comments I've received regarding the post below....'thank you!'.
To answer a few questions, they are all girlies this time & as yet there are no boys. However, just out of interest what would you like to see if I were to do some boys?!.............if you think of anything in particular I'd love to know.

Hugs, Kerry xxx

Anyone fancy seeing some new kerry jo's?.........

Hello, I hope you are all enjoying this lovely wea.........rain!! lol. Well it couldn't last that long could it?!.. So many beautiful days of sunshine & then bang, thunder, lightening & my goodness, bouncing rain. Hopefully it will have cleared the air & get back to the sunshine now.

So, would you like to see some of the next kerry jo's?.................OK then......lol. Below we have two of the next set which will be out soon. I've been having a play this afternoon, colouring in, & thought I'd share what I've been up to.

When I know the release date I'll post, for if anyone is interested. There will be 9 in this coming set & see if you can guess what the theme is?..........mmmmm.....it might be tricky...ho ho ho.........

If I get time to colour any of the others, I might post those too........

Thanks for popping by & hopefully I'll see you again soon,

A few awards......

Hi all & happy Friday to you!!

Recently I have had the pleasure of receiving a few awards from fellow bloggers, of which I am most touched by & truly grateful for.

Firstly I would like to thank Lisa & Joanne for passing on the 'Brillante Award' to me, thank you ladies its most kind of you. However my sincerest apologies as it has taken me a while to post, so sorry for that but huge thanks for passing it on me. As I have received this award previously I hope you don't mind me not posting the piccie & choosing more peeps, but this doesn't mean the award means any less, thank you & huge hugs xxx

Next, I have been given this lovely award by my buddy Vicki thank you so much Vicki, huge hugs xxx

I've now to choose 3 peeps to pass this one onto..........Kath, Vicky & Sandra.

I've also had the pleasure of having this fab award been passed onto me, 'BFF Gold Card'. Two very lovely friends Vicky & Vicki have sent me this & I am most touched, thank you both sooooooo much!!! Huge hugs xxx

Here are the rules...
1. Only 5 people allowed.
2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog
3. One has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world. 4. You must link back to whoever gave you the award.

Now, I must start by saying I wouldn't have a clue who is a dedicated follower of my blog, I would never presume anyone is. Its just so lovely to think that peeps might want to drop by & have a nosey from time to time & maybe leave me comments, for both I'm truly grateful!!! So I'm going to pass this award onto, Jools, Natalie, Stacey, Katy & Tara although there are many more.....I could keep going lol.

Last but by no means least I've been given this fab 'Wylde Women' award by the very lovely Dawny (Pink piggy wiggy.....absolutely love this blog name...) You'd definitely say I qualify for this one if you saw my hair some mornings!!!....lol Thank you so much Dawny, huge hugs xxx

1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you. Make sure you link to their site in your post.
2. Link back to this blogsite (http://http://www.tammyvitale.com//) so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women.

And, remember the Purpose of the Award: To send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy.

Now again, I could be here all day as there are so many wonderful peeps I could give this award to & no I'm not trying to get out of choosing but for anyone who is reading this now, I would love for you to accept this award from me........by visiting you have just made my day! Thank you.

Before I go I'd just like to say that if you don't visit any of the above mentioned ladies at their blogs.......you should!!!!!!............hehe. Time for me to go & have a lil sit down, having spent the morning gardening & the afternoon at the park with the boys I'm a bit ...........shattered!!! so I'm going to have a rest. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend whatever you get up to & hopefully I'll be able to get a bit of blog hopping in.

Please open......

Hi all, & a very happy Tuesday to you!
First week on school hols & so far not to bad, weather has been good, boys have been playing in the garden & as yet no complaints of being bored.........mmmm........wonder how long that will last?! lol.

Most of yesterday was spent at my Mom & Dad's where the boys were helping their Grandad. At the moment he's recovering from having a knee replacement op....we've told Tom that 'Grandad's had a new bionic knee, so as he can play football again!' Then to top it all, my Mom isn't too good either. I've come to the conclusion that you hit a certain age & role reversal kicks in, you worry more about your parents than they do of you!!!.......or is it just me?!.......

On a lighter note, a new card. Started tidying my craft area........should I say dining table lol & found an amount of bits & off cuts from the last few cards I've made, so decided to use them up. So we have pp's Basic Grey 'Perhaps' collection, sentiment again wrote & embossed, lace & buttons from stash & 'Fairy Martha' image.
Must say I was a bit brave with this card, I got my sewing machine out!!!!!!!!!
This was definitely a first, but I quite enjoyed using it & will do so again.

Anyway must get on as I seem to be creating a man made feature, an ever growing mountain..................of ironing!!!
Take care all, Kerry xxx

Quick & simple.....

The weekend.....yay!! The six weeks holidays......yay....I think lol!!!
I hope everyone is well & if you haven't already broke up for the summer hols, that its not to long for you.
Tom my youngest finished Nursery on Thursday & is now so excited to be going back into 'Reception'. As he says "I'm a big boy now & I'm at school alllllll day!"
Sam my eldest finished yesterday & will be going back into Year 4, he's growing up so fast....its scary!
I'm just hoping the weather can be kind to us over the coming weeks so as the boys can play in the garden & that we can have days out on bikes, picnics, walks..........etc, rather than being stuck in the house!

Anyway, the card above, this was a quickie for me. Sam & Tom had both been invited to their friends leaving party last night, as they have moved house & start at a new school in September. Two sisters each one in the same year as my boys. I thought I had something suitable in my card box but when I actually looked yesterday afternoon.......I hadn't! So, this is what I came up with. Think it turned out ok.
Paper is Basic Grey 'Perhaps' collection, sentiment wrote with Whispers embossing pen & embossed over with brown powder.
Image is 'Fairy Martha' which will soon be on Spiral Whisper coloured with watercolour pencils & clear embossed over.

Now, first day of our hols what should we do mmmm.............think it might be something inside, looking out of the window its just started to rain!!! Oh well....

See you again soon, Kerry xxx

Working through my list......

Well, I've spent majority of today working through my Teacher 'thank you' list.......i.e the list which my boys gave me, of how many cards they wanted making!
Got another two done, which is really good for slow coach me.......lol.

Again, this one is for Tom to give to one of his Nursery teachers.

Papers are all Basic Grey 'Perhaps' collection which are so yummy...........I eventually managed to cut through them!!

Sentiment, wrote with Whispers embossing pen & embossed over with brown powder, button & ribbon from stash.
Image is again 'Harry with teddy' & I've triple embossed over for definition.

This card is for my eldest Sam to give to his teacher.

Papers are Basic Grey 'Infuse' collection, with ribbons & button from stash. The sentiment, I found on the internet & again have used my Whispers embossing pen & embossed over with brown powder.

Thanks for popping by & I hope you enjoy whats left of the weekend!

Teacher thank you.......

Friday again!! Where has this week gone?
Another hectic, filled week but at last I've managed to make a start on my list of Teacher cards which my boys kindly asked for.......lol.

This one is for my youngest Tom to give to one of his Teachers. Next week he finishes Nursery & in September starts school full time..........my little baby's growing up!!!!!

All pp's are Basic Grey 'Infuse' collection. I bought these last week from Craftie Charlie & I have to say I'll be going back, such a great service!! However, having decided to use these papers it then took a while to actually cut them.....lol. For the sentiment I used a Whispers embossing pen & then embossed over with brown powder. Green organza ribbon & eylets.
The image is of 'Harry' a doodle I did a while back & which I've also used on a previous card. 'Harry', along with 'Martha' are being previewed on the new Spiral Whisper site, previews at the mo with actual launch date the 21st of this month........all very exciting!!!

Anyway, hopefully, Tom's teacher will like this. All Tom's interested in is writing his name inside &............ when will I have his other card done?!......

I hope everyone has a fab weekend, &, I hope I get some spare time so as to do a bit of blog hopping.......not getting much chance of late so apologies if I haven't been to visit for a while.
Hugs, Kerry xxx

Cardmaking & Papercraft.....

Wooo hoooo, happy lil bunny here!!
Above is a piccie taken from Augusts issue of Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine. My lil girlies are featured on the 'What's new...' page!
I'm really chuffed as I knew the stamps were going to be in but didn't know they were going to put my name in too, so am very happy. You know what they say......'small things amuse small minds.....' lol.

Anyway, I hope everyone is well & happy & hopefully later I'm going to do a bit of blog hopping, lately I haven't had much chance as I've been really busy.

The weekend was fab! Jool & her gang came to stay with us & we all took ourselves off to Alton Towers for the day!
Yesterday was my eldest son Sam's 8th birthday, my baby 8!!! Can't quite believe where the time has gone.
Talking of Sam he very kindly gave me a list the other day of all the cards he wants for teachers, 'no rush Mom, just do them as soon as you can.......' ahhh bless him......mmmmmm lol.

I have made a few cards over the last week too, but can't show them at the moment. So, just need to get on with my ever growing list of to do's...........

Thanks for popping by & hopefully see you again soon,
Kerry xxx

Grandmother's love.....

Hello, I hope you are all well?!......

Having said my 'thank you's' I thought I'd show you this card. This was a first for me, as in I made it for a challenge on the DoCraft site...Clare's Challenge of the week. I've never made a card for a challenge before, other than the one I did for Vicki's blog candy a while back, but I thought I could muster something up for this one as you needed to incorporate some form of 'doodling, drawing' into your card.........well I thought...hehe.
This was another of my sketches from old photos, me, my nan & my cousin.

The pp is Papermania Silk Screened Paper, you can't see to well from the photo but there is a gorgeous sheen & finish to the surface mmm.....yummy!!!
Pink vellum, brads & eyelets are all Papermania too. The lace, braid & buttons are as before from a local shop.
As you might be able to see I have ever so slightly distressed.........lol.

Thanks for dropping by & hopefully I'll see you again soon,
