When I grow up........

...I want to be a...........
Hi all, hope you are happy & well! Thought I'd get back to why I started blogging & make a card.......lol. This last week has been a bit mad to say the least!!

Thought I'd introduce you to one of my new lil friends........wink, wink...hehe.
As I was making this card it got me thinking what did I want to do when I grew up? When I was about 14 I wanted to be a lawyer, that changed, then for the rest of my school days I wanted to go to Uni to do fine art. However, I got a place at art college & two weeks before I was due to start got offered a job in engineering & took it! Money to go out with won out........lol.
What did you want to do when you grew up?..........

Anyway, my lil friend has been coloured with water colour pencils & mounted on foam pads. Dotty pp is from a free digital download at Two peas in a bucket, train pp is from a digital kit at Prima hybrid. Sentiment is doodlebug rub-ons, & my fav thing at the mo, lots of inking & distressing! lol.

Hopefully I'll try & get some more of my 'new lil friends' made up.......
Thanks for popping by & hope to see you again soon,
Kerry xxx

oooo this is a fabby card Kerry, love the distressing and the torn cirle looks so effective. As for your 'lil friend' he's so cute, love him...he! he!

Another lovely story behind this card Kerry, thanks for sharing.
As a teenager I wanted to become a fashion designer.....pmsl!!! After a few weeks of my 'dress/design' course at school, it soon dawned on me that I hated sewing and was no good with a sewing machine, plus the teacher and I clashed at every given moment....aaaarrrgghhh she drove me loopy!!! Then decided I wanted to have my own business by the time I was 30...I am still waiting for that to happen..lol!!

Can't wait to see more of your 'lil friends', have fun xx vicki xx

He is great kerry and love how you have made the card. You have the destressing look down to a fine art - I so struggle with this technique sadly. When I was younger (3 years old) I wanted to be a nurse funnily enough, I don't think it has ever changes and (hopefully) in a few months time I will be one!! xx
